RBA Cash Rate Decision 11/30/09 (Interest Rate Decision)

by Henry Liu on November 30, 2009

10:30pm (NY Time) AU RBA Rate Decision     Forecast 3.75%    Previous 3.50%
ACTION: AUD/USD  N/A

Reserve Bank of Australia  (RBA) is going to hike its official cash rate once again to 3.75% as it is widely expected by the majority economists surveyed by both Bloomberg and Reuters.  However, this is going to be the first time RBA has hiked rates 3 times consecutively in a row.  Therefore, there is some expectation that RBA may not hike rate this time, but may resume its rate tightening cycle in 2010.

RBA will also release a statement along with the rate decision.  We should expect RBA to announce further rate hikes in the future as Australia’s economy is facing inflationary pressures as it is already out of recession.  I’ll be looking at this release and possible look for areas to sell AUD/USD from the top since AUD might react to a classic SELL on NEWS type of market sentiment.

I’ll also trade this release LIVE in my trade room and I will try to post the videos back as soon as I can.  I’m currently backed up on videos and with the new trade room, I’ve had a tough time running the room and record.  Of course my priority is to guide the room and if I’ll do my best with the video.

Anthea et al:

GFT is a crowd of thieves as are all FCM’s, FXCM, FXDD, etc., your funds have no protectiona at an FCM; therefore,I would suggest (if you can afford it) open an account at CitiFX or Deutsche Bank; they both offer the MT4 Platform and you have FDIC protection of your funds.

good trading,

gjm

Hi, I am currently trading with GFT. Can anyone recommend a better company to trade thru , one without a dealing desk as Ive been told that GFT has a conflict of interest against my trades. Is FXCM any good, or perhaps ACM. Everyone seems to promise the earth but not deliver.? Any feedback apprieciated.
